It is my pleasure to welcome you to another exciting school year at Carthage Elementary School! Our school has a long standing reputation for excellence, built on strong relationships, high expectations, and a commitment to helping every student succeed. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve such an outstanding school community and continue the important work that makes Carthage Elementary School a special place for students and families.
As I enter my 19th year in education, I continue to be inspired by the impact schools have on students and families. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving in a variety of educational roles, including teaching multiple elementary grade levels in both North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Since 2021, I have served in school leadership, working alongside educators, students, and families to create positive learning experiences. Outside of school, my wife and I are raising two children who attend Moore County Schools, giving us a firsthand appreciation for the important role schools play in shaping young lives.
One of my greatest priorities as principal is ensuring that every student, family, and staff member feels a sense of belonging. I believe successful schools are built on meaningful relationships, open communication, and mutual respect. Whether connecting with students around campus, supporting teachers in classrooms, or partnering with families, I strive to be present, approachable, and responsive to the needs of our school community.
Carthage Elementary School already has a strong tradition of success, and I am committed to working with our talented faculty and staff to continue moving our school forward. Together, we will provide engaging learning opportunities, maintain high academic standards, and create a nurturing environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
